About Our School

Where Every Child Is Known, Valued and Encouraged

Oak Leaf Academy is a mixed day school located in Nkama, Kajiado South. We were founded on a simple belief: children learn best when they feel safe, seen and genuinely excited to come to school.

Our motto, 'A Bright Future Begins Here', shapes everything from how we greet learners at the gate to how we design a lesson. We deliver Kenya's Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum as approved by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, covering Pre-Primary (PP1 and PP2), Lower Primary (Grades 1–3) and Upper Primary (Grades 4–5). Construction for Grade 6 and Junior School (Grades 7–9) is underway.

Small classes mean our teachers can pace learning to the individual child rather than the middle of the room. Our campus sits in a quiet, secure part of Kajiado South at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is why our community proudly brings together Kenyan and Tanzanian families. Purpose-built classrooms, safe play areas, handwashing stations, a well-stocked library and our own school transport give learners the room and the routine they need to thrive.

What Our Parents Say

Our community spans both sides of the border. Kenyan and Tanzanian families choose Oak Leaf Academy for the same reasons: safety, small classes and teachers who genuinely know their children.

  • We moved our son here in Grade 2 and the change was quick. He talks about his projects at supper, he reads to his little sister, and he is no longer afraid to ask a question. The teachers actually know him.

    David Kimani

    Parent · Grade 4 · Kenya

  • As a mother, safety was my first question and my second and my third. The gate is controlled, the compound is fenced, and I get a call the same day if anything at all is off. That peace of mind is worth everything.

    Grace Naserian

    Parent · PP2 and Grade 4 · Kenya

  • The CBE approach worried me at first, because it is not how I was taught. But seeing my daughter plan an experiment and explain it to the class, I understood. She is learning to think, not just to memorise.

    Peter Mutiso

    Parent · Grade 3 · Kenya

  • We are from Tarakea and we wanted a school close to home but with strong English. Oak Leaf gave us both. The teachers treat our son well and the termly reports are honest and detailed.

    Emmanuel Mollel

    Parent · Grade 4 · Tanzania

  • Crossing the border for school felt like a big decision. It was the right one. My daughter has friends from both countries, she is happy, and her Kiswahili and her mathematics have both improved.

    Neema Massawe

    Parent · Grade 3 · Tanzania
